Supro 1986RK Keeley Custom 12 Combo

The Supro 1986RK Keeley Custom 12 gives pedals an open, powerful foundation

The Supro 1986RK Keeley Custom 12 Combo was developed with Robert Keeley for guitarists who shape their sound primarily with pedals. This 25-watt tube combo is designed as a bright, powerful foundation that lets your overdrives and distortions speak without dictating the entire tonal color for you. Weighing in at 19 kg, it remains practical enough to take along to rehearsals or gigs.

The controls have been kept deliberately straightforward: Volume, Treble, Bass, and Master. These allow you to set the output level and basic tonal balance, while the character shaping of your favorite pedals remains the priority. The 1986RK is focused on an open clean sound, but the two ECC83S preamp tubes can also deliver a solid, smooth overdrive on their own. You don't have to use it exclusively as a neutral platform.

The 12-inch Celestion G12M-65 gives the combo a clear, musical foundation. The speaker is known for its warm midrange and smooth highs, a combination that works well with overdrive and distortion pedals. For time-based effects, there is an effects loop, so you can connect reverb and delay after the preamp. This way, you can tailor your pedal order to how you use the amplifier.

The power section uses two 6V6GT tubes and delivers 25 watts. Connection is possible via an 8-ohm speaker output or two 4-ohm outputs. The cabinet is made of poplar and finished with Blue Rhino Hide tolex. With dimensions of 60 x 41 x 27 cm and a weight of 19 kg, the Supro 1986RK is a full-fledged combo without being unnecessarily large.
