The Supro 1605RJ ’64 Reverb Combo introduces you to the immediate feel of a small tube amp, complemented by a built-in spring reverb. With 5 watts of power and a compact 8-inch speaker, it fits well in a home studio or practice space, while, according to the product specifications, it is also suitable for smaller gigs. The lightweight, compact cabinet is also easy to position and transport.

The Jensen C8R speaker gives the combo its own compact voice. Volume, Treble, and Bass provide an accessible foundation for shaping your tone, after which the Reverb and Master controls help you determine the amount of reverb and the output level. The spring reverb is tube-driven and delivers the recognizable spatial character for which this Supro is known. This way, you can add depth without having to connect a separate reverb pedal first.

A notable plus are the three line-level outputs: Wet, Dry, and Mix. They are positioned before the master volume control, which allows you to also use the 1605RJ as a preamp for recordings. The Wet output also makes it possible to send the built-in spring reverb as an effect to other instruments. This gives the compact combo a second role in the studio, beyond amplifying your guitar.

The preamp contains two 12AX7 tubes and one 12AT7, with a 6V6 in the power stage. There is no effects loop; the speaker outputs are 1x 8 ohm and 2x 4 ohm. The poplar cabinet is finished in Blue Rhino Hide tolex. It measures 40 x 19 x 30 cm and weighs 10.5 kg.
