The PRS Tekton SVN Slate Blue gives seven strings a modern foundation

The PRS Tekton SVN is available for pre-order. Delivery is expected in late 2026 or early 2027. This schedule is an indication and may still change.

More range without distracting from your playing: the PRS Tekton SVN Slate Blue brings the Tekton platform to a seven-string electric guitar. The mahogany solid body with a figured mango top and Shallow Violin top carve combines a striking appearance with sculpted contours. The Slate Blue color and smoked black hardware give this edition its own identity. The body has a high-gloss nitro finish, while the maple neck is finished in satin nitro. An instrument for guitarists who want to expand their familiar playing style with an extra string.

That seventh string opens up space for deeper riffs, roomier chord voicings, and new melodic possibilities. The 26.5-inch scale length offers more tension than a shorter scale length at the same tuning and string gauge, which is ideal when you want the low register to respond with controlled precision. Two PRS Stylus SVN humbuckers provide the sound. With the three-way blade pickup selector, volume control, and push/pull tone control, you have various pickup positions and split sound options within easy reach. This allows you to switch between full humbucker tones and a different color for your next passage during a studio session or live performance.

The bolt-on maple neck features the Modern D SVN profile, with a top-of-neck width of 1 29/32 inches. The ebony fretboard has a 16-inch radius and features 24 stainless steel PRS Jumbo frets. Offset Dot inlays and blue Luminlay side dots help with orientation. The seven-string PRS Hardtail bridge forms the solid foundation under your right hand, complemented by PRS Phase III Locking Tuners and a PRS top-mounted truss rod. The scarfed neck construction and PRS Double-Acting truss rod complete the technical specifications.

Want to explore the extra possibilities of seven strings on a modern PRS with a fixed bridge? The Tekton SVN Slate Blue invites you to give familiar ideas a new register.
