The instrument is based on James' personal custom design and bears his distinctive visual identity: a Snow White finish with black stripes and the Iron Cross that has defined his career. This is a guitar that breathes — and sounds like — history.

Tonally, the Iron Cross is a powerful, direct guitar. The EMG JH SET active pickups—specifically developed for and by James Hetfield—deliver the aggressive, tight attack and the cutting rhythmic precision for which he is globally known. The mahogany body with a maple cap and set-neck construction provides a warm fundamental tone with plenty of sustain. The TonePros locking TOM bridge and LTD locking tuners ensure excellent tuning stability during intensive live use.

The three-piece mahogany neck features a fast Thin U-profile and a Macassar ebony fretboard with 22 extra jumbo frets and an Iron Cross inlay on the 12th fret. All hardware is black. Supplied with a case—a collector's item and a serious playing weapon.
