The EC-1000 in Vintage Black is a guitar that exudes timelessness. The matte, dark finish combined with the black hardware and classic singlecut body shape gives this instrument a no-nonsense look that suits any playing style. However, beneath that sleek exterior lies a serious playing machine with active EMG electronics.
Tonally, the EC-1000 EMG is a powerful, direct guitar. The EMG 60 (neck) and EMG 81 (bridge) active humbuckers are a legendary combination: the 60 delivers a warm, full neck tone with excellent articulation, while the 81 at the bridge provides an aggressive, cutting output perfect for heavy riffs and explosive leads. The mahogany body with set-thru construction ensures rich sustain and a warm fundamental tone.
The three-piece mahogany neck features a fast Thin U-profile and a Macassar ebony fretboard with 24 extra jumbo frets. The Tonepros locking TOM bridge and LTD locking tuners ensure excellent tuning stability and direct string transfer. All hardware is in black nickel for a sleek, consistent look.
