This is cool: Fully analog and very compact amplifier and speaker simulation!

With the Simplifier from DSM Humboldt, a breath of fresh air is blowing through Amp Simulator-Land. While almost all colleagues use digital modeling, this compact unit is completely analog. And how do they do that? Well, for starters there are the 3 precisely designed preamps: AC BRIT, AMERICAN and MS BRIT. These use a passive tone stack based on real amp topology, which makes it respond and sound like the real thing. The output stage offers you 3 different tube types for different response, as well as a presence and resonance control. The last link is of course your cabinet, and you have access to 2 cabinets in stereo in the Simplifier. You can choose from 3 different cabinet types per side, and you can determine exactly how far the microphone is from the speaker. This gives you a shocking amount of control over your final sound in a simple layout. Do you want more gain, less treble, a 4x12 cabinet and the response of KT66 tubes? No problem! Have you changed your mind and still want a 2x12 and more presence? 5 seconds later et voila . No screens, no menus, no hassle, but clear, analog and above all amazing sounding amp sounds!
