The Versatile Vintage Tele that Proves a Humbucker and a Single-Coil are a Perfect Match
The Squier Classic Vibe 60s Custom Telecaster is no ordinary Telecaster. Inspired by the rare Custom variant from the 1960s, this model combines a Wide Range humbucking pickup in the neck with a classic single-coil at the bridge. This makes it much more versatile than the standard Tele, and an excellent choice for anyone who wants to discover what's possible with a single guitar.
The sound ranges from warm, full jazz tones from the neck to the characteristic, biting Telecaster twang at the bridge. The 3-way blade switch gives you quick access to all three positions, and the combination of both pickups in the middle position delivers a clear, balanced sound that works in many styles. Whether you play blues, rock, country, or pop, this guitar adapts effortlessly.
The body is made of basswood, a light and resonant wood that sounds good without making the guitar heavy. The maple neck has a comfortable C-shape and a laurel fretboard with a 9.5-inch radius and 21 medium jumbo frets, which ensures a pleasant playing feel, even for beginners. The 3-saddle vintage-style bridge with strings-through-body construction contributes to sustain and an authentic Tele vibe. The chrome vintage-style tuners keep the tuning stable.
With its 3-Color Sunburst finish and Classic Vibe quality, this is a guitar that looks good and sounds good, at a price that makes it easy to get started.
