Sandberg Marlowe DK Aged Marley Blue – J-Style with a Caribbean Soul
Marley Blue. The name alone says it all. The Sandberg Marlowe DK in this unique color combines the warm, sunny look of a deep blue hue with the tasteful aged finish Sandberg is known for. The result is a bass that immediately stands out on stage – not flashy, but with character and style. As if it's been around for years, but has never sounded this good.
The Marlowe DK is Sandberg's interpretation of the classic J-style bass guitar, and what an interpretation it is. The two Alnico single coil pickups deliver an open, dynamic sound with that typical J-bass clarity and mid-range presence. Volume, balance, and tone – simple and direct, just as it should be with a passive bass that makes itself heard. From funky slap lines to tight fingerstyle grooves: the Marlowe DK effortlessly adapts to any genre.
The body is made of alder, the neck of Canadian Hard Rock Maple in a 6-piece laminated construction for maximum stability. The rosewood fretboard with block inlays plays smoothly over 22 frets on a 34'' scale with a 14'' radius. With a weight of 3.67 kg, this is a comfortable gig guitar that you can play night after night.
