The Sandberg California TM5 Superlight in Black is a bass that impresses without shouting. The sleek black finish gives the instrument a timeless, professional look that convinces on any stage and in any studio. The Paulownia body keeps the weight low without sacrificing tone: open, resonant and with a natural warmth that you feel immediately as soon as you pick up the bass.
The Sandberg Blacklabel pickups deliver a versatile sound palette from warm, full fundamentals to tight, articulate tones with bite. The 2-band EQ with split switch gives you direct control over your sound, even on the lowest B-string. The Pau Ferro fretboard plays smoothly and quickly, with a clear attack that works particularly well in both studio and live situations.
The neck is made of Canadian Hard Rock Maple in a 6-piece laminated construction, stable and consistent under all conditions. With 22 frets on a 34" scale, a 14" radius and Sandberg Classic chrome tuners, the playability is exactly what you would expect from a Sandberg. The black pickguard and chrome hardware complete the look sleek and functional.
