The Markbass Gloxy Black: an Italian bass guitar that feels like coming home

The Markbass MB GV Gloxy is a bass guitar that surprises you as soon as you pick it up. The brand, known worldwide for its compact, powerful bass amplifiers, has translated that knowledge of tone and dynamics directly into an instrument. The Gloxy Black is the sleekest version in the series: timeless black, neatly finished, and ready to stand out without shouting.

The sound of the Gloxy is versatile and direct. In the bridge position, it sounds bright and defined, ideal for funk and grooving bass lines. If you switch to the neck position, you get a warmer, woodier tone that perfectly suits ballads or melodic playing. The active Markbass 3-band EQ gives you full control over your sound, and if the battery runs out, you simply switch to passive mode. No panic on stage.

The body is made of poplar, the maple neck has a comfortable C-profile that immediately feels familiar. The laurel fingerboard with block-inlays spans 20 frets on a 34" scale length. The F-style tuners keep your guitar stably tuned. Pickups are two Markbass JJ single-coil pickups with 2 volume and 1 tone control. Includes Markbass gig bag. The Gloxy Black is an instrument that grows with you, from your first rehearsal to your first gig.
