The Gibson Custom 1959 ES-330 Reissue VOS is made for guitarists seeking the immediate response and quirky charm of a true vintage hollowbody. This Historic Reissue follows the 1959 specifications with a fully hollow thinline body without a center block, finished in Vintage Burst with an aged VOS look. The result is a guitar that does not try to imitate a solidbody, but instead makes full use of the air and resonance that belong to an ES-330.

Unamplified, the body already sounds vibrant and spacious. Plugged in, the two P-90 pickups give the ES-330 a pronounced midrange, clear attack, and enough raw dynamics to let the picking speak clearly. The bridge pickup is equipped with an Alnico 3 magnet, while the neck pickup is underwound with an Alnico 5 magnet for a balanced combination. With the individual volume and tone controls, you can move from sparkling chords to a thicker, grainy drive. As with any fully hollow guitar, the ES-330 requires attention to feedback at high gain, but that very sensitivity contributes to its musical sustain and character.

The three-ply maple, poplar, and maple body is combined with a one-piece mahogany neck with an Authentic 1959 C-profile. The bound rosewood fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets, simple cellulose dot inlays, and a neck joint at the 16th fret. The electronics consist of hand-wired P-90 pickups, CTS potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, a Switchcraft three-way toggle switch, and a 1/4-inch jack output.

Nickel-plated hardware, a Historic ABR-1 bridge with wire and trapeze tailpiece, Kluson Deluxe tuners, a nylon nut, and True Historic gold top hat knobs complete the vintage details.
