The Squier Paranormal Electric VI: vintage experimental spirit in a familiar package
The Squier Paranormal Electric VI Daphne Blue brings one of the most remarkable chapters in Fender history back to the present. With the striking body silhouette of the '60s Electric XII and the playability of a six-string guitar, this instrument offers a unique blend of nostalgia and modern accessibility. Those who appreciate instruments with character and history will find this an excellent choice at an affordable price.
The sound is defined by two Fender-Designed Alnico Split-Coil "VI" pickups, specially wound to guitar specifications. The 4-position rotary switch cycles through bridge, both pickups in phase, both pickups out of phase, and neck, resulting in a surprisingly broad palette of sharp, glassy tones to warm, full neck sounds. The Mustang-style tremolo adds expressive vibrato, while the 24.75" scale length keeps the instrument accessible and playable for guitarists accustomed to shorter scales.
The maple neck features a comfortable "C"-profile and is fitted with a bound Indian Laurel fretboard with pearloid block inlays and 21 narrow tall frets. The nyatoh body is finished in gloss polyurethane in the timeless Daphne Blue color. Hardware includes vintage-style tuning machines, a Vintage Floating Mustang bridge, chrome hardware, and a 3-ply parchment pickguard. Controls are master volume and master tone, controlled via the rotary switch.
The Squier Paranormal Electric VI is for the guitarist who wants to venture off the beaten path without compromising on quality or comfort. Feel free to come and try it out in the store.
