An amazing release from Paul Reed Smith in 2020: the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo! This time in a crazy Peacock Blue Smokeburst finish that fades from light blue to black in a tasteful way. Especially in combination with the Flame Maple veneer, this produces a beautiful picture. This luxurious guitar from Paul Reed Smith's popular SE line combines the balanced, bright and resonant character of a hollow-body guitar with the strength and stability of a solid-body guitar. The basis is formed by a maple top and back, combined with mahogany sides. This produces a recognizable and very usable sound. In addition, the guitar also plays very comfortably, thanks to the traditional Wide Fat neck profile. Stability is one of PRS' hobbyhorses and that is also very good with the Hollowbody II as an Adjustable Stoptail bridge has been chosen. In terms of pickups, the now well-known vintage-inspired 58/15 "S" pickups have been chosen, inspired by the humbuckers that we also find in the Core McCarty models. But it doesn't stop there, because this limited model is, as the name suggests, also equipped with a brand new, high-quality LR Baggs designed Piezo system so that you can also conjure up a very realistic, high-quality acoustic sound from this PRS Hollowbody II. Unique in this price range! This provides you as a player with a lot of sound possibilities. You can choose to play via the "Mix/Piezo" output so that you can use the controls on the guitar to make a mix between the humbuckers and the Piezo system. In addition, it is possible to separate the signal from the magnetic humbuckers from Piezo signal via the "Mag" output, so that you can send the sound of the 58/15 "S" to an electric guitar amplifier and send the piezo to the PA or a separate acoustic amplifier. This is the most versatile SE model from PRS in the history of this series!
