The late '60s P-Bass tone brought to life by Mexico's finest vintage series
The Fender Vintera III Late '60s Precision Bass is built for the bassist who seeks the authentic vintage P-Bass experience without compromising playability or tone. The Vintera III series is known for its accurate era-correct details, and this late '60s iteration in black is a compelling example.
The vintage-style late '60s split single-coil pickup delivers the warm, punchy tone that made the Precision Bass famous: full in the low mids, bright enough for definition, and with enough body to carry a mix. Master Volume and Master Tone keep controls simple and direct, as they should be on an instrument from this era.
The maple neck features the Late '60s "C" shape with a 7.25" radius round-laminated rosewood fretboard, 20 vintage tall frets, and aged-white pearloid dot inlays. The scale length is 34" (864 mm) and the nut is made of bone (41.3 mm wide). Hardware is entirely vintage-style: a 4-saddle bridge with threaded steel saddles, lollipop tuners, and a 3-ply parchment pickguard. The alder body is finished in gloss polyester, construction is 4-bolt standard.
