The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom in Amethyst Sparkle is no compromise. This is an instrument that takes the legacy of the original "Black Beauty" seriously: with genuine Gibson USA humbuckers, an ebony fretboard, and a long neck tenon joint that delivers sustain and stability as you would expect from an instrument in this class. The pearloid block inlays and the glossy VOS finish complete the picture.

In terms of sound, the Gibson USA 490R (neck) and 498T (bridge) humbuckers are spot on. The 490R gives you warm, full rhythm tones with room for midrange expression, while the 498T in the bridge position sharpens the upper midrange for cutting leads and dynamic crunch. Together, they form a combination that suppresses feedback at high volume and is widely applicable, from jazz to hard rock. The mahogany body with a maple top provides the characteristic Les Paul balance between warmth and clarity.

The neck is crafted from a single piece of mahogany in a Modern Medium C profile, with a 24.75" scale length and 22 frets on an ebony fretboard with a 12" radius. The Grover Rotomatic tuners (18:1) keep the tuning stable, and the Lock Tone Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece ensures optimal string transfer. The electronics consist of two volume and two tone controls, driven by a three-way toggle switch, wired with Mallory capacitors and CTS potentiometers.
