The warmth of a P-bass and the clarity of a J-bridge, in a timeless color

The Patina PPJB-3 in Lake Placid Blue is a PJ bass guitar that combines the best of both worlds. The traditional split-coil in the P-position delivers the warmth, punch, and powerful midrange that bassists have relied on for decades. The single-coil at the bridge adds clarity and punchiness. Use them separately or blend them to taste. Either way, this bass finds its place in the mix. The classic Lake Placid Blue nitro finish gives this instrument a timeless, iconic look.

The roasted maple neck with rosewood fretboard and satin finish feels instantly familiar; no break-in period, no sticky lacquer. The nitrocellulose finish over the light Paulownia body ages honestly: checking, wear, an instrument that becomes more and more yours. The jumbo stainless steel frets last extremely long and play smoothly without needing to be broken in. Locking tuners with a 1:19 ratio keep the tuning stable, and luminescent side dot inlays ensure you always know where you are even on a dark stage.

The PPJB-3 Lake Placid Blue has everything this bass needs and nothing it doesn't. Vintage soul, modern value, and an honest price.
