The Laney IRF120H brings 120 watts of Ironheart Foundry tone in a compact head
With the Laney IRF120H, you get a complete Ironheart Foundry amplifier head: 120 watts of fully analog power, built for guitarists who prefer a head and cabinet setup. The two independent channels are designed from the ground up to replicate the tone and feel of the Ironheart tube series, and with the low-power mode of less than 1 watt, you can use the same amplifier at home as a practice amp. This allows you to go from your first rehearsal to the stage with a single device.
The sound is fully customizable. With the footswitchable pre-boost with level control, you can give a solo exactly the push it needs, while the adjustable gain character with asymmetrical and symmetrical options determines how the overdrive breaks through. The bright, flat, and dark voicings, the three-band EQ, and the footswitchable digital reverb with level control complete the tone.
The connectivity is remarkably comprehensive. The LA·IR XLR output delivers high-quality digital IR emulation with an adjustable IR and ground lift, allowing you to go directly into a mixing console or your audio interface. The 6.3mm FX loop also serves as a non-emulated line out, and for playing at home, there is a 3.5mm aux input and a headphone output with cabinet emulation. Via USB-C, you can connect to the LA·IR app and record audio, and the two 6.3mm speaker outputs allow the head to work with the matching IRF112 or IRF212 cabinets. With dimensions of 212 x 481 x 231 mm and a weight of 7.5 kg, the head remains easy to transport.
In short, if you want the Ironheart Foundry feel with the freedom of a head and cabinet, the Laney IRF120H has it all ready for you. Discover it for yourself and hear what 120 watts of analog sounds like.
