Martin OM-28E Reimagined PRE-OWNED!
Very nice trade-in, this OM-28E!
The Martin OM-28 is one of the most legendary acoustic steel-string guitars ever made. With its compact size, crisp tone and incredible sustain, this instrument is a dream to play. This OM-28E is completely finished, partly thanks to the scalloped bracing that really makes the sound come to life. The combination of a spruce top and East Indian rosewood for the sides and back is a traditional recipe that guarantees sparkling highs and deep, full basses. This offers a great basis to express yourself on this guitar, whether you are an avid fingerpicker or more into heavy strumming guitar work. The ebony fingerboard, vintage toner finish and of course the beautiful herringbone binding around the top complete the whole. And with this OM-28E version - where the E in this case stands for Electric - you are also immediately ready for the stage thanks to the built-in Fishman Aura VT system. Including hardcase!
What is the difference between the OM and 000?
At first glance, you probably won't see the differences between the 000 model and the popular OM or "Orchestra" model. Both body shapes are indeed almost identical, but the differences are in the neck. The 000 has a scale of 24.9", where the OM has a scale of 25.4". And you can feel that difference: the string tension is lower on a 000, and all the frets are a bit closer together. A second difference is the width of the top nut: it is a fraction wider on an OM.
