The Left-Handed J-45 for Those Who Want Every Note to Count
The Gibson J-45 Standard is one of the most beloved acoustic guitars of all time, and for good reason. This left-handed version in Vintage Sunburst offers the exact same richness of character and dynamics as the right-handed original, but built for the guitarist who approaches things a little differently. Gibson's so-called 'workhorse' has inspired generations of singer-songwriters, and once you play it, you'll understand why.
The J-45's tone is unmistakable: warm, full, and grand, yet with enough articulation to let every detail in your playing shine through. The combination of the Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides creates that characteristic balance between clear high lines and a deep, rich body. The guitar responds intensely to your touch: whispering softly for fingerpicking, powerful and present when you play harder. The mahogany neck with a slim taper profile plays surprisingly comfortably, even for guitarists with smaller hands.
Under the hood, you'll find the L.R. Baggs VTC system, one of the most respected undersaddle pickups in the world, with volume and tone controls discreetly in the soundhole. Further specs: Sitka spruce top with hand-scalloped X-bracing, rosewood fretboard with 20 frets and a 12" radius, Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons, a traditional belly-up rosewood bridge, and Tusq saddle and bridge pins. Scale length 24.75". Finished in a nitrocellulose Vintage Sunburst finish that only gets more beautiful with age. Includes original Gibson hardshell case.
A timeless instrument, now available for left-handed players who refuse to compromise.
