With this Gibson 50's J-45 Original Vintage Sunburst you can bring a piece of Gibson history into your home! The difference between this version and the Standard version is that the '50s Original reissue is closer to the model from the '50s. You can notice this in a number of (cosmetic) things such as the multi-ply binding around the top, larger '50s pickguard instead of the teardrop pickguard, subtle cream tuners and a slightly larger neck profile. The whole thing has been aged in a very subtle way, which makes this J-45 feel like it has been around for a few years, and when you pick up the guitar and play it you just feel that it is right; ultimately the sound and looks of this J-45 play the leading role. The combination of the sitka spruce top with the selected mahogany side/back give this J-45 Standard its unmistakable character: big and warm, the ideal accompaniment guitar. You can really tell a story with this guitar, because the J-45 becomes shy when you play soft and screams when you play hard. Beautiful. And also in terms of looks the J-45 Standard is completely right. The sitka spruce top is finished in a Vintage Sunburst Finish.
